“It’s hard to imagine a play fueled by a more profound and spellbinding sense of sheer wonder.”
Malcolm Jack, The Scotsman
“It’s the dynamic relationship between that pioneering daring and our own modest leap of imagination that powers this delightful hour with the force of a NASA rocket at blast-off.”
Dominic Cavendish, Daily Telegraph
“There is a palpable sense of excitement, hope, and wonder throughout-from the stirring speeches of JFK to the world-changing image of the Earth rising behind the moon’s surface.”
Nuala Calvi, The Stage
Written by David Hastings and Directed by Toby Hulse, One Small Step is an inventive, funny, action packed show that crams 50 years of history and 41 characters into 60 minutes! In the run up to the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing, it’s a visually stunning account of one of history’s greatest adventures- the race between the United States and the Soviet Union to send the first man to the moon.
Two actors magically recreate the space race with the aid of simple household objects, as well as creating the famous Apollo, Gemini, and Sputnik capsules from buckets, lamps, and cardboard boxes, capturing the imagination of all ages.
