| Description
Mummenschanz is back! For forty years the company
has created an original and captivating universe of whimsy, wonder,
and ingenuity that delights both young and old. Mummenschanz who
revolutionized mime art with a new vocabulary of body language,
are back with a new show that keeps the best and most significant
acts of previous shows.
They wear fake heads that are blown up, drawn from wire or luminous
strands, cut from cloth or cardboard, poylester or foam. Whether
the performers of Mummenschanz wear these creations of manouver
them, a fantastic world appears that is nonetheless human and extraordinarily
poetic.
On the stage, they amazingly turn everyday objects and materials
into abstract forms, simple costumes and expressive masks, and engage
in a wordless dialogue with the audience. The stories and episodes,
filled with humor and imagination, deal with human relationships
which can be understood by any audience around the world, across
any linguistic and cultural boundaries.
