ELIGIBILITY
This Promotion is offered only in the fifty (50) United States to individuals who are U.S. residents (excluding WA residents), 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void in WA and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers and directors of Sankofa Danzafro, a fiscally sponsored project of Group 36 (collectively, “Sponsor”), Elsie Management (“Administrator”), their respective owners, parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and any companies involved in the implementation and execution of the Promotion (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”) and the immediate family members (spouses, siblings, parents and children, including foster and step-relations, and their respective spouses/partners) and household members (whether or not related) of any of the foregoing, are not eligible to enter or win. By entering the Promotion, each Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor (and its authorized third parties), which shall be binding and final in all respects.
PROMOTION PERIOD
Promotion starts on or about 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 6/29/2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on 8/12/2026 (“Promotion Period”). The clock on Administrator’s server shall be the official timekeeping device for this Promotion.
HOW TO ENTER
There are two ways to enter the Promotion during the Promotion Period:

An eligible Entrant must: visit https://sankofadanzafro.betterworld.org/giveaways/trip-colombia-dance-sankofa (the “Website”) and complete the entry form by providing Full Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Entrant can then select one of the offered Donation Packages, complete all required payment information, and press “Submit Entry” to receive the entries designated by the Donation Package. Limit one (1) Donation Package per Entrant.

All state, federal and local regulations and laws apply. Void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes are only open to United States residents. Prize Provider(s) may thank participants with a discount or offer following the sweepstakes. Winner must be 18 years or older, and reside in a locality where participation is legal. No purchase, payment, or contribution is necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. For variable entry sweepstakes, completing the Alternative Entry Form is counted as five entries. For fixed ticket sweepstakes, completing the Alternative Entry Form is counted as one entry. One Alternative Entry Form entry per household per day is permitted. No automated, bulk, or third-party entries. No cash equivalents. No substitutions. No transfers. No refunds. Sponsoring Organization and BetterWorld reserve the right to disqualify contestants. Sponsoring Organization and BetterWorld reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Sponsoring Organization and BetterWorld reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify a promotion if any problem prevents the promotion from running as planned. Campaign begins at Start Date and ends at End Date. At the end of the campaign, a winner will be chosen at random.Limit thirty (30) total entries per Entrant, regardless of method. Only winners will be notified. You may enter under one name/email/account/identity only. Multiple entries in excess of the stated limit, use of bots, robotic, automated, or programmed entry methods are prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Social Media Platforms:
Any social media platforms on which the Promotion is promoted, advertised, or executed (including but not limited to Website, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube) and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and advertising/marketing agencies (collectively, “Released Parties”) are not sponsors of nor otherwise affiliated with this Promotion, and shall be released and have no liability for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages resulting from the Promotion or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. A publicity photo, video, and media release will be completed by the winner and companion (if applicable).
SELECTION OF WINNER(S) / ODDS
A random drawing will be conducted by Sponsor (or its authorized third party) on or within twenty (20) working days following the end of the Promotion Period from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
PRIZE(S) AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)
The following prize(s) are available to be awarded, assuming sufficient eligible entries are received. Prize award is subject to verification and eligibility.
Grand Prize (1): A 1 WEEK TRAVEL TO MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA WITH SANKOFA DANZAFRO. ARV: $4500.

- Ground Transportation to and from the Rionegro, Medellin airport to accommodations
- One-bedroom Hotel/ B&B or Studio Apartment Accommodations

- Access to participate in classes available at the Sankofa Studio (class options are dependent on travel dates)

Prize Restrictions: Prize must be accepted in its entirety or will be forfeited. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.
- All food and beverages will be the responsibility of the winner
- The prize is fully TRANSFERABLE upon request by completing a transfer form with Elsie Management. All official rules still apply.
- Reservation needs to be made at least 90 days in advance of traveling. Travel needs to be completed within 24 months. Travel plans are based on availability in accordance with Sankofa Danzafro’s tour schedule.
- One travel companion is allowed. All additional fees (airfares, meals, transportation, and additional accommodation fees) will be the responsibility of the companion
THE PROMOTION, PRIZES AND ALL ELEMENTS THEREOF ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Taxes: All federal, state, and local taxes, and all reporting requirements are the sole cost and responsibility of winner(s).
PRIZE CLAIM
Potential winners will be contacted on or about twenty (20) working days following the drawing by the email address or phone number provided at time of entry and will be given instructions on how to claim their prize. A potential winner may be required to furnish proof of identification and execute, a notarized return Affidavit of Eligibility and, where legal, a Publicity Release within a specified time period, or else prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. After three additional unsuccessful attempts to verify an alternate winner, the prize will remain un-awarded.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Promotion Entities are not responsible for illegible, lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, returned, or undelivered entries or communications; computer, telephone, satellite, cable, network, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, or availability; garbled, corrupt, or jumbled transmissions, service provider/Internet/website use, net accessibility, incompatibility, or traffic congestion; or any technical, mechanical, printing, typographical or other error, unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or registration information.
IN NO EVENT WILL THE PROMOTION ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS PROMOTION, PARTICIPATION IN PROMOTION AND/OR PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITIES, OR THE USE OR MISUSE OF A PRIZE.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion if it is not capable of running as planned due to causes that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion.
GENERAL
If it is suspected that an Entrant has registered more than once using multiple email accounts, IP addresses, or identities, all such entries will be declared null and void. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the Promotion, acting in violation of these Official Rules, or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
All entries and materials submitted become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. In the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and other Promotion materials, these Official Rules shall prevail.
RELEASE, INDEMNITY & GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Entrants and winner(s) agree to waive, release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sponsor and all other Promotion Entities, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and divisions, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents, and any social media platforms (“Released Parties”) from and against any and all liabilities, claims, demands, losses, lawsuits, judgments, settlements, fines, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from the Promotion and any element thereof; participation in any Promotion event and/or prize-related activity; the delivery, acceptance, use or misuse of a prize; or any act, default, or violation of these Rules by any Entrant. Entrants covenant not to sue any Released Party regarding any matter released above.
If any provision of these Rules is declared unenforceable, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Promotion Entities shall not be liable for failure to execute the Promotion by reason of any act of God, governmental action, equipment failure, terrorist acts, natural disaster, labor dispute, or any other event beyond their reasonable control.
DISPUTES / ARBITRATION
THIS PROMOTION IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. AS A CONDITION OF PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES WHICH CANNOT BE RESOLVED BETWEEN THE PARTIES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS PROMOTION, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF COURT OR CLASS ACTION, EXCLUSIVELY BEFORE A NEUTRAL ONE-PERSON ARBITRATOR IN BINDING ARBITRATION HELD IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. FURTHER, IN ANY SUCH DISPUTE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL PARTICIPANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT OR SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR ANY OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF.
PRIVACY POLICY
Any personally identifiable information collected during Entrant’s participation will be collected by Administrator solely for use by Sponsor (and its authorized third parties) for purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of the Promotion, and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy here and any communications an Entrant may agree to receive during the registration process.
PUBLICITY RIGHTS
By participating in the Promotion and/or accepting a Prize, each Entrant and winner grants permission to Sankofa Danzafro, Group 36, and/or their designees the right to use his/her entry, name, biographical information, photos and/or likeness, and statements for promotion, trade, commercial, advertising and publicity purposes, at any time, in all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law.

This campaign runs under the fiscal sponsorship of Group 36, a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN: 46-3124623 that supports charitable projects. Sankofa Danzafro, is the fiscally sponsored project of Group 36 collectively known as the, “Sponsor”), and Elsie Management is known as the Administrator.
All donations are processed and receipted by Group 36 and handled securely. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor.
